Planned Activity Groups are formed in recognition that many people living in our community are no longer enjoying the social benefits of being part of a community group. It's important that community members have the opportunity to network among people with similar interests and experiences in life. These groups provide the opportunity for people to get together and enjoy a day out.
All of our groups provide social support in a relaxed environment where people can enjoy the company of others, share experiences, share meals and enjoy the benefits of a regular supervised exercise session helping to maintain their independence within the community.
Each session goes for approximately 4-5 hours and aims to integrate stimulation and fun through a balance of activities including regular guest speakers, sing-alongs and music, puzzles, quizzes and card games, concerts and entertainment, outings, gentle exercise sessions, craft and reminiscence.
