Gippsland Lakes Community Health has a range of alcohol and drug counselling programs as listed below.
Clients of the criminal justice system or individuals who have complex drug use problems and require treatment and counselling.
Individuals currently facing criminal charge for alcohol and drug related offences. Self referral is accepted.
This service is available to individuals who are using illicit drugs, and putting themselves at risk of coming into contact with the criminal justice system.
Individuals at risk of entering the criminal system due to their substance use
This service supports young people with alcohol and/or drug use problems seeking treatment or counselling.
Individuals under the age of 21 years.
This program is for individuals who have undergone a drug withdrawal program and require linkages to post withdrawal support such as counselling, rehabilitation or housing.
Individuals who have completed a drug withdrawal program.
This program is for people wanting to withdraw, reduce or stablise from alcohol or other substances at home. The withdrawal syndrome must be of mild to moderate severity.
Individuals in rural areas who can be supported by a family member or friend at home while withdrawing.
Provide short- term treatment option to women/men who have undergone a recent successful withdrawal program or who need assistance in controlling their substance use
Individuals requiring assistance in reintegrating into their community with an independent addiction free living.
Assisting remote area workers to obtain information, education and support in gaining a greater understanding in A&D
Counselling is available to remote areas including Omeo, Swifts Creek, Cann River, Buchan and Orbost
