The School Focused Youth Service (SFYS) has three main aspects which are:

  • Develop partnerships in the community between service providers and schools which enhance the provision of services to young people.
  • Develop programs to fill identified gaps in service provision.
  • Promotion of and support for preventative and early intervention programs for young people, including provision of brokerage funds for these programs.

Who can use the service?

Organisation or individuals who work with young people aged between 10-18 years who are deemed at risk for any of the following reasons: Alcohol and drug, dropping out of school, depression/mental health, disability, isolation, aboriginality or sexual issues.
